Микросомный фермент, катализирующий окисление глюкозы, глюкозо-6-фосфата, галактозо-6-фосфата и др. субстратов; коферменты Г. - НАД и НАДФ; в геноме человека ген GDH локализован на участке pter-p36.3 хромосомы 1 - известно наличие трех аллелей, по соотношению частот которых имеются существенные межрасовые различия.
